The Rundown

Westgate Las Vegas has one claim to fame that no other resort can match: the SuperBook — the largest sportsbook in Las Vegas, with a 220-foot-wide screen, 350 seats, and a reputation as the best place to bet sports in the city. If sports betting is a significant part of your Vegas experience, the SuperBook alone justifies a visit.

The hotel itself is solid but not exceptional. The rooms were renovated in 2016 and are comfortable. The casino is well-run. The location — off the Strip but close to the convention center — is convenient for convention attendees and accessible via the monorail.

The Westgate is also notable for its history: this is where Elvis Presley performed 837 consecutive sold-out shows from 1969 to 1976. The Elvis suite is still available. The International Theater where Elvis performed is now the Westgate Cabaret.

Summer Score

How this resort holds up in peak Vegas summer (June–September)

2Overall

The Westgate's off-Strip location means less summer foot traffic and a more manageable pool. The SuperBook is air-conditioned and a good escape from the heat. But the lack of indoor connectivity to other properties means you're relying on rideshares to reach the Strip.
