Resorts World Las Vegas

"The first new Strip resort in a decade — home to three hotel brands: Las Vegas Hilton at Resorts World, Conrad Las Vegas, and Crockfords. The pool complex is excellent. The North Strip location is the trade-off."

The Rundown

Resorts World Las Vegas opened in June 2021 as the first new Strip resort in a decade — the first since Encore in 2008. Built by Malaysia-based Genting Group on the site of the legendary Stardust, Resorts World houses three distinct hotel brands under one roof: the Hilton (3,500 rooms), the Conrad (1,496 rooms, upper floors), and the ultra-exclusive Crockfords (236 rooms, top floors). The casino is 117,000 square feet. There are 40 restaurants and bars.

Resorts World is genuinely impressive. The rooms are excellent across all three brands. The pool complex is one of the best on the Strip. The dining collection is strong. The Zouk Nightclub is a legitimate venue. The BetMGM Sportsbook is well-appointed.

The location is the primary challenge. North Strip means you are a 15–20 minute walk from center Strip, and the stretch between Resorts World and the Fashion Show Mall can feel underdeveloped. The Vegas Loop station helps. But if you want to be in the middle of the action, this is not your resort.

Tower Talk Intel

The TeaThe Stardust Was Here First

Resorts World sits on the site of the Stardust Hotel and Casino — one of the most famous resorts in Vegas history and the basis for the movie Casino. The Stardust's iconic sign is preserved at the Neon Museum. Worth knowing if you care about Vegas history.

WinHilton Honors Points at a Strip Resort

Resorts World is the only Strip resort where you can earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. For Hilton Honors members, this is a significant advantage — you can use points for free nights at a Strip resort.

Heads UpThe Property Is Enormous

Resorts World is a large property and the walk from your room to the Strip can be 10–15 minutes. The casino floor is 117,000 square feet. Budget extra time for everything.

Wins & Watch-Outs

Wins

  • Hilton Honors points at a Strip resort
  • Excellent pool complex
  • Three hotel brands with different price points
  • Vegas Loop station on property
  • 40 restaurants and bars
  • Newest construction on the north Strip

Watch-Outs

  • North Strip location
  • The property is enormous — budget extra time for navigation
  • No direct monorail access
  • The stretch of Strip north of Fashion Show Mall feels underdeveloped

Room Reality

The Hilton rooms are solid — modern finishes, good technology, comfortable beds. The Conrad rooms are superior — larger, better views, more amenities. The Crockfords rooms are exceptional — ultra-luxury, butler service, the best rooms on the north Strip. Book the Conrad or above if budget allows.

Summer Score

How this resort holds up in peak Vegas summer (June–September)

3.5Overall

The Resorts World pool complex is solid but not exceptional. The building's modern construction means excellent AC throughout. The north Strip location is actually a summer advantage — less pedestrian traffic and easier access to the resort's facilities.

History

The Stardust Hotel and Casino opened in 1958 and was one of the most famous resorts in Vegas history. It was the largest hotel in the world when it opened. The Stardust was known for its iconic sign, its association with the mob (it was the basis for the movie Casino), and its long-running production shows. Boyd Gaming closed the Stardust in 2006 and imploded it in March 2007. Genting Group acquired the site and built Resorts World, which opened June 24, 2021.

The Verdict

Resorts World is a strong resort with excellent rooms, a great pool, and the only Hilton Honors earning on the Strip. The north Strip location is the primary trade-off. For Hilton Honors members and guests who want newer construction, it is a legitimate choice.
