The Cosmopolitan
The Strip's cool kid. Best dining collection in Vegas, the only balconies on the boulevard, and a casino floor that was literally designed to keep you from gambling.
"A half-scale Eiffel Tower and a boulangerie that actually makes decent croissants. The theme is committed. The rooms are better than you expect."
Overall Rating
Paris Las Vegas opened in 1999 with a commitment to its French theme that borders on aggressive. The half-scale Eiffel Tower is 46 stories tall. There is a replica Arc de Triomphe. The casino floor is designed to look like the streets of Paris. The boulangerie actually makes decent croissants. It is a lot.
But here is the thing: Paris works. The theme is executed well enough that it does not feel cheap, the rooms are solid (particularly after the 2019 renovation), and the location — directly across from Bellagio — is exceptional. The Eiffel Tower restaurant at the top of the replica tower is one of the most romantic dining experiences in Vegas. The monorail station is directly connected.
Paris is a good resort that benefits enormously from its location. You are across the street from the Bellagio fountains. You can watch the show from the Eiffel Tower bar. The Strip is right there. For the price, it is one of the better value plays in center Strip.
Book a room with an Eiffel Tower view and you get the Bellagio fountains in the foreground with the replica tower above. It is one of the best views in Vegas for the price. The premium over a standard room is usually modest.
The Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the top of the replica tower has excellent views of the Bellagio fountains. Book a table for sunset and stay through the first fountain show of the evening. It is expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
Paris has a single pool that is small relative to the resort's size. If pool time is important to you, look at Caesars (Garden of the Gods is connected via walkway) or Flamingo. The Paris pool is adequate but not a destination.
The 2019 renovation updated rooms significantly. The Eiffel Tower-view rooms are worth the premium — watching the Bellagio fountains from your room with the Eiffel Tower in the foreground is genuinely special. Standard rooms are solid and well-maintained. The bathrooms are on the smaller side.
How this resort holds up in peak Vegas summer (June–September)
The covered walkway connecting Paris to Horseshoe is a summer essential. The pool deck faces west and gets brutal afternoon sun — go in the morning or evening. The Eiffel Tower observation deck is best visited after sunset in summer.
Paris Las Vegas opened September 1, 1999, developed by Park Place Entertainment (later Caesars Entertainment). The site was previously occupied by the Dunes Hotel (demolished 1993) and the Aladdin Hotel (partially). The Eiffel Tower replica was originally planned at full scale but reduced to half-scale due to FAA height restrictions. The resort was acquired by Caesars Entertainment as part of the Park Place acquisition.
Couples who want a romantic setting. International tourists who appreciate the French theme. Caesars Rewards members who want a center Strip property at a lower price than Caesars Palace or Horseshoe. The vibe is more romantic and less party-oriented than neighboring properties.

Paris Las Vegas is a solid center Strip resort that punches above its weight on location and views. The Eiffel Tower view rooms are among the best value propositions on the Strip. The pool is the weak point. For couples and visitors who want a romantic setting at a lower price than Bellagio, Paris is the right call.

The Strip's cool kid. Best dining collection in Vegas, the only balconies on the boulevard, and a casino floor that was literally designed to keep you from gambling.

The fountains are the reason Vegas exists. The rest of the resort is trying to live up to them — and mostly succeeding.

Vegas's most famous resort is also its most confusing to navigate. The toga party ended in 1990. The labyrinthine casino floor never did.
