Wynn Las Vegas
The gold standard for Strip luxury — impeccable rooms, the best casino service on the Strip, and a prestige that no other property has matched. Encore may have the edge on pure experience in 2026, but Wynn still owns the name.
"In 2026, Encore is generally viewed as the slightly better overall experience — larger suites, Encore Beach Club, and a vibe that feels a touch more current. Wynn still wins on prestige and classic luxury. It's very close."
Overall Rating
Encore opened in December 2008 as the companion resort to Wynn Las Vegas. Connected by an indoor walkway, the two properties share amenities but have distinct identities. Encore is slightly more party-oriented — Encore Beach Club is the best pool party in Vegas — while maintaining the same room quality and service standards as Wynn.
All suites, starting at 700 square feet. The rooms are exceptional — arguably slightly better than Wynn's standard rooms in terms of design. The casino is smaller than Wynn's but equally well-run. The dining collection is strong. The Encore Beach Club is the reason many guests choose Encore over Wynn.
Encore Beach Club is the gold standard for Vegas pool parties. Big-name DJs, excellent service, beautiful design. If you are going to one pool party in Vegas, this is the one.
Every room at Encore is a suite. The standard suite starts at 700 square feet — larger than most hotels' junior suites. The rooms are exceptional.
Same as Wynn — you are at the northern end of the Strip's main cluster. Center Strip dining and nightlife is a 15–20 minute walk or rideshare.
All suites, starting at 700 square feet. The rooms are exceptional — arguably the best on the Strip. Floor-to-ceiling windows, exceptional bedding, large bathrooms with soaking tubs. The 2022 renovation updated finishes throughout.
How this resort holds up in peak Vegas summer (June–September)
Encore Beach Club is the summer destination on the Strip — but that means it's also the most crowded. Book cabanas months in advance for summer weekends. The pool itself is beautiful and the service is exceptional when it's not overwhelmed.
Encore opened December 22, 2008, as an expansion of Wynn Las Vegas. The two properties are connected by an indoor walkway and share some amenities. Encore was designed by Roger Thomas, who also designed Wynn Las Vegas.
Guests who want Wynn-quality rooms with a slightly more social, party-oriented atmosphere. Encore Beach Club regulars. Couples who want the best of both worlds — luxury rooms and access to the best pool party in Vegas.
Shared with Wynn Las Vegas. One of the highest-grossing nightclubs in the world. Indoor/outdoor design with a pool centerpiece.
The best dayclub in Vegas. World-class DJs, excellent cabanas, and production quality that exceeds most nightclubs. This is the main reason many guests choose Encore over Wynn.

In 2026, Encore edges Wynn on the overall guest experience — the suites are larger (all start at 700 sq ft), Encore Beach Club is the best pool party in Vegas, and the vibe feels slightly more current. Wynn still wins on prestige, classic luxury, and the weight of the name. The gap between them is small. If you're choosing between the two: Encore for the experience, Wynn for the statement.

The gold standard for Strip luxury — impeccable rooms, the best casino service on the Strip, and a prestige that no other property has matched. Encore may have the edge on pure experience in 2026, but Wynn still owns the name.

The new heavyweight on the north Strip. Massive, ultra-modern, and design-forward — Fontainebleau opened in 2023 and has quickly become the new standard for what a megaresort can look and feel like in 2026.

The first new Strip resort in a decade — home to three hotel brands: Las Vegas Hilton at Resorts World, Conrad Las Vegas, and Crockfords. The pool complex is excellent. The North Strip location is the trade-off.
