The Cosmopolitan
The Strip's cool kid. Best dining collection in Vegas, the only balconies on the boulevard, and a casino floor that was literally designed to keep you from gambling.
"The only boutique hotel on the Strip. Small, stylish, and priced accordingly. Giada's restaurant is the real draw."
Overall Rating
The Cromwell is the only true boutique hotel on the Las Vegas Strip — 188 rooms, a rooftop pool, Drai's Nightclub, and Giada De Laurentiis's restaurant. It is small by Strip standards, which is either a feature or a bug depending on what you want.
The rooms are well-designed and comfortable. The rooftop Drai's Beach Club is one of the better rooftop pool experiences in Vegas. Giada's is genuinely good Italian food with Strip views. But the casino is small, there is no sportsbook, and the price point is high for what you get. The Cromwell works best as a base for guests who want a boutique hotel feel in the middle of the Strip.
If you find the megaresorts overwhelming, the Cromwell is the answer. 188 rooms, attentive service, and a boutique hotel feel in the middle of center Strip. It is the only property on the Strip that can genuinely claim this.
Giada De Laurentiis's restaurant at the Cromwell is genuinely good Italian food with Strip views. The lunch menu is significantly less expensive than dinner and the views are just as good. Book a window table.
Well-designed rooms with European-influenced decor. The bathrooms are excellent. The beds are comfortable. The views from upper floors are good. At 188 rooms, the hotel feels intimate and service is attentive.
How this resort holds up in peak Vegas summer (June–September)
Drai's Beach Club on the rooftop is a legitimate summer destination but it's a dayclub, not a resort pool. The Cromwell itself has almost no shade coverage — you'll be relying on the casino interior and neighboring properties.
The Barbary Coast Hotel and Casino occupied this site from 1979 until 2007. The Barbary Coast was a classic Vegas property — small, smoky, and beloved by locals for its low minimums. Caesars Entertainment demolished it and built The Cromwell, which opened in 2014 as the first standalone boutique hotel on the Strip.
Guests who want a boutique hotel experience in the middle of the Strip. Drai's nightclub regulars. Giada's fans. Couples who find the megaresorts overwhelming.
One of the most unique nightclub experiences in Vegas — a rooftop venue on top of The Cromwell with Strip views. Drai's After Hours runs until sunrise on weekends, making it the go-to spot for the late-late crowd. The Beach Club operates as a dayclub during the day.

The Cromwell is the right call for guests who want a boutique hotel experience in the middle of the Strip. The rooms are excellent, the service is attentive, and the location is unbeatable. The casino is small and the price is high, but that is the trade-off for a boutique experience in Vegas.

The Strip's cool kid. Best dining collection in Vegas, the only balconies on the boulevard, and a casino floor that was literally designed to keep you from gambling.

The fountains are the reason Vegas exists. The rest of the resort is trying to live up to them — and mostly succeeding.

Vegas's most famous resort is also its most confusing to navigate. The toga party ended in 1990. The labyrinthine casino floor never did.
