Pool Rankings

Las Vegas pools are not all created equal. Here is the honest ranking:

Mandalay Beach (Mandalay Bay) — 11 acres, wave pool, lazy river, beach club. The best pool complex in Vegas by a significant margin. Seasonal (May–September).

Stadium Swim (Circa) — Five pools in an amphitheater with a 40-foot screen. Open year-round. The most impressive concept in Vegas. Adults only.

The Tank (Golden Nugget) — A pool with a shark tank in the middle and a water slide through it. Unique. Seasonal.

Encore Beach Club / Wynn Pool — The gold standard of Vegas dayclubs. The most beautiful pool environment on the Strip. Cabanas are expensive. Seasonal.

Caesars Palace — Garden of the Gods — Classic Vegas grandeur. Seven pools across a Roman-themed complex that has defined the Strip luxury pool experience for decades. The sheer scale and theatricality are unmatched for that old-school Vegas feeling.

Fontainebleau — Oasis Pool Deck — The new heavyweight trying to redefine luxury pools. Ultra-modern design, multiple levels, and the infrastructure of a brand-new property. Still building its reputation but already one of the most impressive pool setups on the North Strip.

Venetian & Palazzo Pools — One of the most complete pool ecosystems on the Strip. Multiple pools, consistent quality, and access shared between both towers. Not the flashiest but one of the most reliably excellent.

Bellagio Pool — Underrated calm luxury. Three pools, beautifully maintained, quieter than most Strip pools. The setting — surrounded by the Bellagio's architecture — is genuinely elegant. Access limited to hotel guests.

Cosmopolitan Pools — The best city energy + pool energy blend on the Strip. The rooftop setting and the surrounding skyline give it an energy that ground-level pools can't replicate. Seasonal. Cover charge on dayclub days.

MGM Grand Pool Complex — Massive and versatile. Not the most refined, but one of the most usable. Five pools, lazy river, and strong group trip energy. If you are traveling with a large group that wants options, this is the move.

Cosmopolitan — Boulevard Pool — Fun, social energy with plenty of ledge space and in-pool loungers. Gets crowded fast, especially on weekends. The elevated Strip views add to the atmosphere. Come early if you want a spot.

ARIA Pool — Chill, adult-oriented energy. Three pools, well-maintained, and noticeably quieter than most Strip pools. If you want to actually relax rather than party, ARIA is one of the better choices on the Strip.

Park MGM Pool — Consistently well-stocked with umbrellas, which is rarer than it sounds on the Strip. A more relaxed, manageable pool experience without the dayclub energy of larger complexes.

Luxor Pool — A solid, underrated pool option. Pyramid-shaped layout, good sun exposure, and far less crowded than most Strip pools. If you are staying at Luxor or nearby, it is a genuinely good choice.

Blu Pool at Horseshoe Las Vegas — The deepest pool on the Strip at 12 feet. A distinctive feature that sets it apart from the standard Vegas pool experience.

Go Pool at Flamingo — Recently rebranded and relaunched. Worth noting that the Flamingo pool has evolved significantly over the years — it is no longer the relaxed, low-key escape it once was. The new Go Pool concept leans into the dayclub format.

Rio Pool — Recently renovated. The Rio's pool complex has been refreshed and is worth considering, particularly for guests staying off-Strip who want a quality pool experience without the Strip crowds and pricing.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas Pool — Features a sandy beach entrance, making it one of the few pools on or near the Strip with that feature. The pool is also home to Kassi Beach Club on dayclub days — a Mediterranean-style 21+ pool party with coastal Italian food. A strong option for guests who want both a relaxed pool and an elevated dayclub experience at the same property.

Green Valley Ranch Pool — One of the best family-friendly pool options in the Las Vegas Valley. The sandy beach entrance is a genuine differentiator — kids can wade in gradually rather than jumping straight into the pool. Located in Henderson, about 15 minutes from the Strip.

Pool access is generally restricted to hotel guests. Some pools sell day passes. Cabanas book up weeks in advance on summer weekends.
